Either that, or a REALLY interesting make-up job. Of course that's assuming you mean that said green ring is AROUND your eyes and not a PART of your eyes. Either way, you're still nuts. Don't worry though, we all love ya' for it =)

You have good genetics. That's all. That sounds like a beautiful eye color.
Your "tan" eye color may be related to hazel eye color.
The color of your eyes is inherited from your parents, grandparents, great grandparents, etc.

Mine are tan and green (hazel color they call it). How old are you and when did your eyes become that color pattern? It could be old age, macular decay or it could be a latent gene in your combined family strain. May be you're a she devil. The sky is the limit to possibility.

Maybe eye color is genetically linked to skin color? That would explain why fair-skinned people are more likely to have light-colored eyes. My optometrist told me that people with light-colored eyes are more sensitive to bright light. So people with dark-colored eyes would have better chances of survival in sunny regions than people with ligh-colored eyes, just the same as with skin color.

I have hazel eyes. They change color.When I wear blue..they're green.When I wear green..they're blue. I haven't noticed any brown...maybe those are the times they look kinda blah to me and I can't tell if they're blue or green. I'll have to get a magnifying glass and look for that green ring etc. I don't think I've ever examined them for myself. People always say I have pretty eyes though.
