What I'm really meaning is that there's always worse things that can happen in life and there's a balance between acknowledging things and saving your energy for worse things. I also mean that regardless of what our attitude is and what happens, beauty in life exists no matter how bad things are and life isn't extinct or fiction. Either way it's a gift and is what it is.

without darkness how can one define light? without evil how could one define what is good? And if life really does have a meaning or reason, isn't differentiating between and making the right choices, the reason of living? And everything is an outcome of these choices, either our own or of others.

Your insight, to my way of thinking, is in the last sentence of your question. Breaking free of dualism (the idea of good and evil) enables one to appreciate more of the reality of life.
The realization that nothing is "supposed" to be different from what it is eliminates a lot of wasted personal time.

You are right.
but sometimes people go through the very dark side of life that they can't handle. They are scared to go back to the better side of life. They stay in the dark side and slowly and gradually the dark side takes over. They can't acknowledge the beauty in life.

You say that there's always something worse that can happen. What do you say to the person who that "something worse" has happened to? People like you say that there's always someone worse than you....what happens when you finally meet that someone? Sooner or later it has to stop....there just cannot be worse worse worse.

You say that life is a gift....what kind of gift is full of trouble and ends in death? People like you make people feel bad for acknowleging the bad or feeling down or sorry for themselves when they have a right to. But it just is not you...it is the entire society we live in. I personally believe that people should have the right to acknowledge their feelings whatever they may be and not have to put on this false front of gratitude or happiness when they are not feeling that way. That's just me.

There is a reason to life?
I would beg to differ. Life is the result of randomness. No more meaningful than when you're thinking of someone and suddenly they call(I hope you realize that it is meaningless).
Don't get me wrong. Life is still pretty damn awesome.
We are luckier to be here than most people realize and for that reason alone we should value life and make the most of it.

Although it is hard, it is a fact that we all consider that we have the only truth in the universe. We also want to bring in some nice guy to share our truth.

Unfortunately, our truth is only limited and our organization is rather small. Then, war would come to make us survive.
