Life was terrible both times she was prime minister. She would host lavish parties at the government expense while the schools and roads fell apart. She did nothing to improve the life of the citizens and was forced both times to step down due to corruption. The last time she had to go into exile to keep from going to trial. Since she has been gone Musharraf has improved all facets of life in Pakistan despite acting like a dictator. Remember he was just reelected in a landslide in an election monitored by the UN.

Well she was a democratic leader unlike Musharaf who became a dictator in Military coup. He overthrew that times democratic leader Nawaz Sharif and became a defacto leader of Pakistan. He suspended the constitution and passed the laws at his will which other wise would have been approved by the parliament but Musharaf thought that he is wise enough to make his own laws for Pakistan. So definitely any democratic leader whether it is Benazir Bhutto or Nawaz Sharif is better for Pakistan and not a military dictator.

The Bhutto legacy was one of corruption and blind allegiance to The Taliban. She and her family drained Pakistan financially and sold out to terrorism. She kept her people in poverty as a means of control. Education and infrastructure suffered along with those in need. Bhutto was akin to Ms. Marcos in her waste of government monies. I know many former pakistanis who fled to the U.S. due to her practice of tyranny and deceit.

Along the way do made blunders and slip-ups with human errors.
In time and aged with time
Had changed in becoming a wise one.
Too bad it was a real great loss to their own children and the folks back home.
When she was the pride of her country being the most succesful woman in honouring and worshiping God among one of the dirty dozen without being aware of the mess of their own creation in own backyards in messing her up.
