Whatever you choose to put on her ipod make sure you, the parent, listen to it first.... Really listen to it. Some of the words can be really raw and I wouldn't want a 2nd grader to be exposed to a lot of modern lyrics. Are there any songs she likes that she sings/hears in school? Once you've loaded a good mix of age appropriate music into the device be sure to check the volume on the iPod. It doesn't take much to damage the eat. Once hearing is lost it's gone and much of today's music (and life in general ie: lawn mowers even) is too loud.
