Some women don't get a show - just as some women's water doesn't break (mine didn't).

Call your dr or midwife/nurse to check, but they would consider you in labour once your contractions are less than every 5 minutes I think. Before that, you're in prelabour and you should rest up as much as you can for the rest of the labour.

I had prelabour symptoms for the last 10 weeks of my pregnancy and had constant, irregular contractions for 3 days before I had my baby at 40 weeks. I had the tiniest show at about 39+4

Good luck!!

no there doesn't have to be a show but there more than likely will be if you are dilating. This means the cervix is opening up and no longer able to hold the mucus plug in anymore.
However everyone's labours are different so if your contractions are getting stronger, closer together and more intense (you can't talk or walk when you get one) then it is definately labour and you don't need to wait for other things like losing the plug or waters breaking.

Good luck and remember to keep walking to help get your contractions going (gravity is a wonderful thing!)

It could be labour....Bloody show is not necessary. What is important is are you close enough to your due date and if your contractions are coming back at regular intervals and getting stronger, then i guess its time to call ur doc. Even otherwise, it wont hurt to get a professional opinion. Hope to hear good news soon. All the best and have a fantastic new year !

It is definitely possible, I have been pregnant twice once with twins and did not lose my plug or have a bloody show either time until in the hospital. with my daughter my contractions were 5 minutes apart, and still nothing, my water hadn't broken there was no show, nothing. I would time them and when they get really close (abt. 5 min apart,) i would call the dr.

The "Bloody Show"? I don't think I've seen that on TV.
