Out of the blue, my aunt left my uncle and moved across the country to be with her boyfriend. She left behind four small children and she hasn't contacted them in three months.
How could this happen?

Whatever this was, it wasn't "out of the blue". Your aunt was obviously desperately unhappy and unfulfilled, for a long time. She probably thought (or had convinced herself) that she was somehow the "outsider" in the family. She saw the other family members as close, saw that they had a better relationship with their dad than they did with her, and felt that she was functioning as nothing more than a convenient drudge, to cook and clean for everyone else, while they lived their lives. She just snapped one night and thought, "If I don't take this chance, I'll die scrubbing floors for people who don't love me."
It sounds crazy, and maybe it is. I don't know the details and neither do you. But to just take off, and to not contact her children for months - she is either very unbalanced, or she has a tremendous amount of built up hostility

Because she is creating her black future, I don't have words how to describe this kind of people. You will see how this crazy person's end will be. The boy friend she has now it will leave her in the same way she left her children, the life pay you in the same way you pay to others, early or later she will have the payment of she's doing now, I feel so sorry for her. I have 4 kids, and my husband and I adopted 4 kids, it's a bless to have children, how come there are mothers like this, but she will be alone at the end, you will see.

Three months? Well, if she hasn't completely lost her mind or disappeared off the face of the Earth she should have contacted them or sent them something for the Holidays. Unless she doesn't celebrate. But, if she's not lost her mind then I'm sure they'll hear from her soon.

she is a selfish lowlife that doesn't deserve her children, and except for visits are better off without her, I'm sorry but any time a woman puts some man before her children in this type of circumstance she has lost her freaking mind and her rights as far as i am concerned MEN WILL COME AND THEY WILL GO BUT NO MAN IS MORE IMPORTANT THEN THE HAPPINESS HEALTH AND WELL BEING OF MY CHILDREN, GUYS ARE JUST NOT WORTH IT MY KIDS ARE FOREVER

To love a stranger more than your children would require such a selfish mind that you could say they were insane in my opinion. The world in general is going to HELL.
