My account is repeatedly secured for 48 hours "due to unexpected activity." Why is this?

For 8 years I have had no problems....all I do is write and answer emails.....what is unexpected activity about that? What else does one do with such an account?

It's probably more like an unexpectedly high volume of activity. If you've been sending many e-mails, for example, then they might suspend your activity because they are afraid you're a spammer.
