YES it did. Look at some of the GREATS, Like 4 Walls falling, Violent Femmes, The Flaming Lips. They don't have videos OTHER than what was recorde live, and they are GREAT

Video certainly killed music, that's for damn sure, because now instead of the focus being on the music, it's shifted to how good looking the performers are, and what fashions they market. They can always convince enough people to like whatever crap they spew at you and ask for seconds.

I'd say yes. Greater emphasis on looking good, dancing etc., instead of singing, killed the radio star.
