Ok, I cry about everything and I don't know why I do. It can be about anything that crosses my mind that happened years ago or whenever that's negative; I'll jusy cry about it. I've cried so much; I hate crying. Can anyone give me a reason to why I cry so much?

I think you're just very emotional. I don't think its necessairly a bad thing, just a part of who you are.

It does seem to be a symptom of depression. Unless you have always been an emotional person. Is this a relatively new thing? If so, then get help. There's nothing wrong with reaching out. Find someone you can talk to about what is making you sad. A friend, a family member, or even a therapist.

If you are depressed, try finding a hobby to occupy your time and keep your mind busy. Or get a pet.

If it's really bad though, I suggest professional help. Like therapy. Medication alone isn't always the answer. And always remember, there are alot of people out there dealing with the same thing, so you are not alone.

It's not exactly a "bad" thing. You just tend to overeact, your reactions are more extreme than the "normal." If therapy and Zoloft doesn't help, try on your own to become a more positive person. You don't have to be all overly optimistic, but I mean, try to think of positive solutions or reasons whenever negative problems or events cross your mind. It should help, if it does not, don't give up. Think of other methods that you'll think can help you overcome these pessimistic perspectives that you seem to get often.

If you are taking Zoloft, you shouldn't be so depressed still. Tell your doc your symptoms still & see if they will try another type of antidepressant. It is kind of a trial & error sort of thing. Be really honest w/ those that are trying to help you.
Work w/ your therapist to sort out the emotions from the past. Ask them about psychologist reversals. This is awesome & has really helped me. There is something called Emotional Freedom Techniques that my therapist does w/ me & is genius & has helped me become really happy.
I have dealt w/ years of depression & finally I am happy & how I wanted to always be.
Keep trying- you WILL get there!

I was like that a few years back over the breakup of my boyfriend..I could watch a cute commercial with a baby and just start crying.....If you still feel depressed on the medicine your taking than you might want to switch to a differant one because it sounds to me the one there giving you isnt working. It took my bofriend 4 differant types before it helped him....good luck and dont let it keep you down.

Don't hate crying. I wish I COULD cry. I rarely ever cry. During sad movies, when I'm stressed, or basically in any situation I can't remember the last time I've cried!!! Even when I felt broken hearted. People think I am emotionless. Sometimes I think to myself... am I soulless??

Everybody cries. I am like you,(Kind of) I cry about everything beyond everything. It's normal. Of course you are going to cry about negative things. It is not a bad thing it just shows that you have feelings and you have no problem showing them!!!!!!

Hope I Helped

/ You are what the world of psychology calls, "normal."

Crying is actually good for the spirit and body. This will change with time, but right now it is what your body and spirit need.

I remember (years ago) going through the same phase. I think it lasted about a year for me.

Sounds like me. I have been trying to change my perception of life and focus on the positive, plus be thankful for what I have. It works pretty good so far, but still there's days that I'm sad.
