okay well how do i know where to get an adaptor...or where is it located in my car?? because like i said...the sound works with the factory cd player but not with the aftermarket one...so there must be a wire or something that im not hooking up correctly...where should the ground line/wire from the aftermarket cd player be plugged in to??

If you have an Infiniti System you need to power the speaker amplifiers. Use a jumper wire and hook to the factory harness power antenna wire or the amp remote and then to the aftermarket CD power antenna wire or remote wire. I had to do this for the Infinity System in my wife's '97 Dakota when the factory AM/FM cassette/CD went bad. Try this site, www.installdr.com, click on Jeep/Chrysler and study the schematic. Good luck.

Speakers have their own amplifiers and need an adapter to turn off or will cause serious damage or not work like in your case.
