There is more shopping per capita in Dallas than any other city in the United States. Go shop or go out to eat at a restaurant (Dallas has a whole lot of good ones). Go to the 6 Story Museum or Conspiracy Theory Museum. Go to a theatrical show. Go to one of the many great theaters. Go to a concert (There are plenty). Go to an art gallery. There is so much to do in Dallas. Have Fun!

Yes, more like what not to do! Like she said, the Texas Two Step and Cottoneye Joe, cool! Go to one of the many malls, go to the Dallas Aqurium, Go ice skating, go to a Stars/Cowboys/Rangers game. Go to an open house in the Country Club and check out other houses. Even if you're not buying!

Do what all bored Dallasites do, take a road trip to Austin to see live music, millions of bats flying out from underneath the Congress Street Bridge, float down the Guadalupe River and party on 6th Street. For laughs check out the fat naked hippies that go to Hippie Hollow in Lake Travis.
Dallas does suck, I lived there 34 years and thought the place was horrible. Not all people get excited about hunting, shopping and country dancing. That being said you can make the best of the place by going to the many museums, live music venues and even walking around White Rock Lake. If you pick up a Dallas Observer they have a section on social activities that you might find interesting. Like to jog and drink beer? Join the Hash House Harriers. Like to mountain bike? Go to Lake Grapevine or Cedar Hill State Park. Check out the dinosaur fossils and the nuclear power plant in Glen Rose. As long as your interests aren't mountain climbing or surfing, body boarding, wind surfing or any of the other cool stuff you can do in the ocean than Dallas should offer something to tickle your fancy.
