why is it when I watch movies like Will and Grace or Queer as Folk do I get the impressions like gay (men-men) does not seem to like lesbian??, is it because the lesbians are female (male within) and the gays are male ( female within), well that would make the lesbians stronger. I guess that's a stupid hypothesis, so what is it?, why do the gays and lesbian not get along well?, or is this just a plot to make the movie hilarious?.

I'm gay by the way and I never met or known a lesbian so I don't know how I would feel about them, but I think if forced to marry a woman by my parents, I would prefer the lesbians than straight girls. Just personal preference

I'm not gay. Speaking from a "straight" person's point of view. I think that it is the mentality that the individuals have. A Gay man (for the most part) seems to lose his "manliness" in being gay. I personally feel that a person should be whatever they want to be (excepting the consequence for their decisions in the end) but that they do not need to give up being a man (acting, dressing, walking, talking, etc... in a feminine manner).
Most Lesbians are still feminine. There are very few who, for lack of a better word, butch up. As kids we grow up see girls holding hands and being close to each other, so to see them that way in an intimate way is not as, again - for lack of a better word, disturbing to the public.
If you are gay. Marring a woman, straight or lesbian, would not benefit either party. In marring a lesbian, neither party would be satisfied in the relationship. With a straight girl, if you are a good man (physical, mentally and emotionally) she will be satisfied with the relationship (at least the union would have a chance of surviving).

I don't V's anyone also the people that portray LGBT persons on TV are actors not real people also Lesbians or Gay Men act like they do on TV. I have many Lesbian,Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Heterosexual of all color and from all over the world who are my close friends and acquaintances. There is more than enough fundamentally small minded xenophobic bigots in the US already than make a movie of LGBT brothers and sisters fighting against each other in something that we don't believe in and effects our lives everyday. You mention your gay and are being forced to marry a woman by your parents, who are also just like and no better than the rest of these bigoted people. What would even be more better to see is the end of all fundamental opinion which effects many Americans of all nationalitys lives including yours when Anti Discrimination laws are introduced in the USA.

(just before I say anything i know my avi looks like a guy but I am actually female i just didnt like this sissy stuff in the girl avi section)
I have gay guy friends and well we got along pretty well. I mean they didn't act sissy or anything like that gay-male stereotype.(oh btw im bi not sure if that counts but I am at least half lez). I have been snobbed off from some gay guys I think from me just being a girl ; I think maybe that comes from a chauvinistic cooty complex such as "im a guy so I am better then you" or perhaps "you are a girl so you are icky and gross".(chauvinism knows no sexual orientation)But I have never really had an opened my minded gay male just not be around me because of my dykish persona.Probably same with the lesbians I believe some of them have male-hate (seen straight gals with it too it is not limited to one specific type of person), or maybe some lesbians just find the more fruity gays silly and childish? I always found your very fairy type gay-males immature in which always made them feel more of parody for me then a actual person to take serious.(no i dont hate guys like that I just think it makes them more funny).

Because it's Will and Grace? It's not exactly free from strange stereotypes. I don't know what to think of your hypothesis really and I don't know many lesbians (apart from my Aunt) but I get a long with the few I know. Or we don't butt heads at least.

one of my good friends is a lesbian and thier is never any Vs.
but if i had to guess i would say that it boils down to the simple fact that besides the similarity that we like the same sex, were still two different genders man and woman....sometimes we get along sometimes we dont.

I have many gay male friends. We have great times together. They are flamboyant and I am not. I love that about them.

I don't think it's dislike. It's more like disinterest (at least sexually).
