Yes, and what a waste of a perfectly good life is it not?
How many would gladly trade their ill health, their numbered days, etc. etc. etc. for what that person has, who is just throwing thier life to the sewer.
Numb nutz aren't they?
A life altering wake up call is what folks like that need.

If you don't like what someone has done, and you hold a grudge, you are punishing yourself for the error of someone else. It's like saying, because I don't like what they did, I deserve to hurt further for what they did. Logically it makes no sense, and spiritually or religiously it's damaging to ones self. God speaks of unconditional love (which means without condition, no exception.) This begins with unconditional love of ones self. If someone holds a grudge, they are placing judgment on that person, and it is then impossible to attain the state of being of unconditional love. When in that state, an individual can experience God's presence. This is why most religions and spiritual orders hold love and forgiveness to be of great importance. Spiritually speaking, holding a grudge separates ones self from their intuitive or being in a state of awareness. It's accepting the ego over the spiritual nature of ones being. It's true that forgiveness is the fastest way of releasing negative karma. As a counselor I tell clients that to forgive doesn't excuse someone else for what they have done to you, but it is accepting that they deserve to live without the affect that the other person has caused them. There's a misguided perception that to hold a grudge somehow harms the one you hold a grudge against. When in reality, it does the opposite, and causes damage to the individuals sense of self who's holding the grudge.

Yes I do. My sister-in-law. Shes 36 years old and she is still so hurt and bitter about her parents divorce - she was two at the time - and the fact that she had nothing growing up; that she holds onto every single solitary thing either of her children touch. Seriously. She has plastic storage bins with their discarded gum wrappers, candy bar wrappers, crumpled up pieces of paper - anything you could imagine, she has it in a storage bin in the basement.
She feels that her children should have everything that she did not have - if my nephew gets one of those bouncy balls that you can get anywhere - say its red and comes from Krogers for .99 cents - she will buy it in every color just so he has something.
One time, she bought 26 cupid erasers from Big Lots because thats all they had left and they were .18 cents a piece. She gave them to everyone she knows, including her parents, making it crystal clear that she at least gave them SOMEthing for Valentines Day.....
Theres so much more, but I won't bore you any longer :)

ah, yes--and they all live near me, and have spent a lot of time and energy avoiding me, yet seem to have enough time to pick apart my every move. the funny thing is, i have gotten over it, and have moved on, yet they are stuck in the same old boring rut. it's so sad, for them anyway. i don't waste much pity on them. it's their problem, and they brought it on themselves for being childish enough to let gossip that they started get out of control

Hee hee... I like your style.
Yeah, I've always wondered what motivates those people- they're obviously just making themselves miserable. Life's too short...
