I need to send her something, and since she doesn't live nearby I can't burn it on a CD. It'd be best if I could just upload it and have her download it. I have GMail as well, but idk if that would work.

Any suggestions?

If the file is too large to e mail, you can upload it to a file sharing service such as rapidshare, and she can download it from that server.

You can do this for free!

There are many upload sites for the job. I use rapidshare very often because it's quite fast...

You could try a file compresser, such as WinZip or something of the like. Make sure that she has it too so she can unzip the file and view it.

Good luck!

get winrar. it's free and google it. zip it up and send it to her. You can send it thru gmail easily. Just click on add file and browse.. click on where you put your zip file and gmail will send it to her. It zips it and makes download times easier.

In yahoo messenger, you are supposed to be able to send a gigabyte. Try that.

try megaupload.com

Edit.. nevermind, I think you anything above 500mb on there and the person has to be a premium user to download it, unless your friend would be willing to do that.
