Will it be like the scored TD record?

Emmith Smith held it for 8 years, Holmes held it for 2, and Alexander for only 1.

I know they are different records, I'm comparing it with a record that John Riggins set in the years when Marino threw 48 TD passes.

Somewhere between 2 - 5 years I would think. That may sound crazy but offenses are getting much better every season... Don't be surprised if it isn't just broken but shattered within 10 seasons in my opinion... Congratulations to Tom for holding it now at the moment. Also, don't rule out he may throw more next season.

Honestly right now the only person i can see that has a chance is the previous holder in peyton manning.

Manning had Wayne, Harrison, Stokely, Edge, Pollard, Clark

Brady had Moss, Welker, Stallworth, Watson, Faulk, Maroney

its not often you have that much talent on offense...not to mention both teams have VERY good O-lines.

i dont see this record broken for a long time. Brady will retire with that record safe.

maybe 20-30 years when the game changes more(example we are now seeing teams throwing to set up the run rather then the traditional run to set up the throw)

those are two different records

there is the passing TD record: currently held by Tom Brady
then there is the rushing TD record: currently held by LaDainian Tomlinson

manning held it for 3 years and brady decided to shatter that

idk its gonna be hard to break 50 man i mean a receiving corps that brady had is a once-in-a-lifetime thing you dont get a set of excellent receivers like that every season headed by an allstar like moss, its gonna be decades before we see a new contender

50 is so high though. I honestly don't know if this one gets broken soon. You really have to pour on the points. I say 23 years and 9 months for no reason at all.

the passing record may take 10 years to break another young good qb has to come along and get as lucky as Tom is with his receivers.
