Let's see, he's 11, which means the romantic parts of anime won't appeal to him, so you can cross out most shoujo anime. He likes planes and cars, which means he'll probably like mech anime, so I'd go from there. There are a bunch of great mech anime series that can be totally addicting. And you'll want something with an action packed first episode, to get him hooked.

Check out Last Exile, it's one of those future meets past type of animes. I got bored with the first episode, but I'm not a fan of mech anime. I know it's about a couple of kids who fly an airship and go on missions as a job. You can check out the episode for yourself to see if he'd like it.

A friend of mine who likes mech anime highly recommended Zoids, all the series, I think there were 4. http://www.pisoga.com/ Go there to see them.

I won't recommend Naruto or Bleach to you, first off because I'm not a fan, and second because it obviously doesn't fit the interests you've given for your brother. I suggest you stick to the mech anime if he likes cars and planes.

Show him something simple to understand like Naruto or Bleach. If he likes those then start introducing him to some more interesting yet deeper anime like Death Note or Ghost in the shell.

Bleach could be an anime for little kids that isn't too boring and not a whole lot of fillers. He is kinda young so I am not sure

the answers on your icon..... Bleach! and if he is not much for that then Id set him up with my personal favorite Aime of all time

"Berserk"
by far my biggest hook into Aime I actually watched every single episode of this series without stoping! now if that's not a good definition of addicting Aime then I don't know what is! hehe

Cars, huh? Well, "Initial D" has some cars in it and it's anime. Dragon Ball Z is good too, show him some of the DBZ episodes.

the first thing to consider is what kind of MOVIES is he into
horror, comedy, romance (just kidding)
and find on from that genera just remember he's 11 and choose appropriately you should start with the naruto (dubs again he's 11) if he likes action and comedy

make him watch death note- it sucks you in at the very first episode. he may be a bit young for it, but he'll definitely think it's cool. because it is. =]

i wouldn't recommend naruto, because its first episode sort of sucks, and bleach's first episode seems a bit corny at first (i love those two anime to death, though).

My brother got me interested in Naruto.I think it is perfect for kids who begin to like anime.if he likes that then try Death Note. Then if he doesn't like that then try Bleach or Blood+.If he doesn't like that then I think he doesn't like anime but he like the magna if he likes to read.
