It's not a joke, it's a scam. Someone somewhere is falling for it.

You know what happens to a fool and his money, right.

If your mail system gives you the option to report spam, report it instead of just deleting. You may slightly increase the chance that someone can separate the scammer from his email address and break his contact with a victim-to-be.

Good evening.

Anyone with an e-mail address will get this type of fraud mail eventually. Lists of valid e-mail address are constantly updated and offered for sale. The lists have 25 million or more address.

This leads in to why they do it. First, the cost of sending 25 million e-mails is relatively low. The cost is even lower if they use someone else's system as an e-mail relay. If four or five greedy and gullible people fall for the scam every month, the crooks make a bit of money.

It is not a joke, it is criminal. This is fraud.

Regards

Remember, if it's too good to be true, it probably is. No one's gonna give you free money. That is a fact of life.
