Maybe I'm paranoid, but my VN's have spiked after a few people (not all) did so. Just looking for opinions here.

Pretty sure you can block people too if you don't like the look of them. Then again, they're probably like me - totally confused by the various options, that Yahoo 360' thing and how to link it all up.
Not yet worked out how to add anyone to contacts, but would probably e-mail them first as a few might get freaked by the username.

It's a polite thing to do. I know that I have read profiles and they specified that they want to be contacted. Yes, I remember the day I got an email from you.... It's was like it was yesterday. So sweet you were. Like a breath of fresh flowers in a meadow inhabited by deer.

Not at all. Neither do I email people first. I do look at their profile and some of their Q&As. Maybe I've been lucky, so far, but I have not had any problems (knock on wood).

Nobody has ever asked my permission to add to my list. But if they are on level one or two they get automatically blocked.
