i want to find one that you just put the solution on the spot wihout having to wet the whole carpet or use a vaccum.

Home Depot has an excellent carpet spotter. Spot Shot. Removes Tar, Gum and so on.

Consumer Reports rated OxyClean Carpet and Spot Remover the best. I bought some and it is the best I have used. Get it at Wal-Mart.

Go to Home Depot and walk to the floor section. They have a lot of good products there that can help you. Just speak to flooring and they will be able to help you.

Besides those sold at regular consumer stores I suggest a janitorial supply. They will have professional chemicals and are usually more knowledgable about their uses.

resolve is very good I use it for pet stains.
