Ok guys, so most of the men on here hate "modern" feminists, those who believe that women are superior to men (god knows we have the right to, considering how men believed they were superior to women for thousands of years...)

My question is, do you just hate modern feminism and support traditional feminism, which wants equality for the sexes and gives women the same freedoms as men, or do you hate them both and think that women should go back to the kitchen?

Guns_Fan, I was asking whether you supported modern feminism or original feminism. Original feminism supported equality, dumbass.

BigE, I love to stomp on guy's marbles. It gives them a taste of the pain that we have to go through.

Cliffie, I do have one male friend, and he is gay. That's how I like my men---gay. I don't feel threatened by them.

Sorry, but you don't have the right to feel superior to anyone including men. I don't know where you got the idea the "modern feminists" are encouraged to think this way, but I do know that that kind of attitude is condescending and not what we second wave feminists fought to achieve.

My dear you ask a very loaded question.

Modern feminism is just and should be a revitalized version of 'original' feminism. I'm afraid that our generation of women is falling victim to the belief women are higher on the social food chain then men. Yet by exercising this belief you are hastily showing these people that feminists are the female equivalent of a male chauvinist.

I can understand that you may feel threatened by men. Its true that on average a woman makes 75 cents for every dollar a man makes if they work the same job. (This does not really include movie/television/radio stars) many male Republicans do believe (I say many not all) that women are generally let at home and men work. It is very easy to feel that men are controlling dominating sons-of-bitches who just want you to get married and see how many kids you can pop out. Not all men are like that.

Now I grew up in a diverse home. My there is a republican and an equal-rights supporter. My mother was a very devout feminist and so far left you couldn't see her. My parents loved each other very much, and both raised me to be a feminist. My right-wing father was so proud when I came out as a lesbian to my family 2 years ago. He didn't care. Correct me if I'm wrong but I assume you and I share the rainbow, no?

Don't be a man-hating neurotic. I prefer relationships and sex with women but many of my lose friends are straight men. There are straight men that support women's rights as much as we do.

Don't bash men. We feminists have so many other things we could be doing. Help women in abused and battered homes. Liberate women from dead-end relationships. Support women like Somaly Mam. She was a former sex-slave in Cambodia who is helping thousands of young girls and women who are being raped and forced into prostitution.

Honor the women who came before you and starved for the right to vote. Vote any time available. Support the equal rights amendment. Be a voice to the women who don't have a voice. Pray for the dead but fight like hell for the living. -Mother Jones.

Don't sit and *****, take charge and make something out of feminism. Stop whining about a few men who don't like women. Who don't think they should work. Get down on your hands and knees and thank god you can vote, you have a voice. You trample on your ancestors who gave everything so you could do these things as a woman.

You are a woman, you are a feminist, and you are still a human being. Never forget that.

Of course they have lost the original goals, as most of their goals have been met. I don't believe the rhetoric ... from what I can see, they have equal rights . They should be celebrating their achievements and congratulating the men over the last 2 generations for opening the doors without a scuffle in the lobby. The problem is that if you look hard enough, you can always find a ripple in the sheet, and for this reason the feminists will never ever drop the cause. Even if women are officially given 10 times the wage of men and are allowed to carry guns and shoot any man they want without question, the feminists will still be complaining ... maybe they will complain that men are "scabbing" off their high wage, or that men should be on 8% of their wage and not 10% as there is still 1000 years of history to iron out.

I have respect for many first wave feminists but not all And I think that if I had to choose between the two I would choose traditional.

But given a free choice[ I bet you also think I don't deserve a choice in anything because I am a male] I would just do away with feminism altogether and current feminists who ACTUALLY believe in equality I would support in anything that helped them promote equality for both sexes.

Well if you are thinking you are a feminist, you are sadly mistaken, that's if you are female.
If you are someone who's trolling to bring down feminism's name even further, then don't insult other people's intelligence by assuming that they can't see what you are up to. Who do you think you're fooling?
As for your additional comments, how much of a misandrist can one person be by saying you like to stomp on men's balls, that you don't like men unless they're gay, and women are superior to men?
You aren't La Rose reincarnated are you by any chance?

Any attack on feminism is greeted with the same emotional knee-jerk response:

"Why do you hate women?!!!! Why do you want to take away women's rights!!!!?"

Men simply don't like the ridiculous attempt at gaining equal "outcome" vs the fight for equal "opportunity."

Communism always fails for a reason. Modern feminists haven't learned that yet.

Modern feminism is about painting ALL men with the same broad brush as abusive "patriarchs" that want to control women.

The sour grapes attitude of "yea, well women had to deal with (insert oppression) so now men have to" is nothing more than immaturity & spite.

Self respecting men & women that TRULY respect men (not just giving the usual "I have lots of male friends" proclamation while disrespecting them at every turn) ...have abandoned the "feminist" tag.

Most men and women support equality between sexes, including me.

I don't hate modern feminism, or even modern feminists like yourself. I do believe that any *-ism which places any arbitrary collection of people above another is simple bigotry. By extension, I consider you a bigot, and worthy of pity, not hatred.

Some US justice department report said that crimes committed by black people against white people are NINE TIMES more common than crimes committed by white people against black people. Guess what? Judging an individual black person by the mere fact that their skin color is the same as all those criminals is still bigotry.

Collectivism is a cancer in modern society. Partisanism, sexism, racism, and curiously most so-called "anti-racism" is just that.

I bet you have male friends, and I bet you don't torment them about your prejudices against men. Try giving men you don't know the same benefit of the doubt.

Also, I do appreciate you making the distinction between those two groups of feminists.

I am a feminist, a baby boomer, a descendant of a suffragette, an activist and I don't hate men or see them as inferior to myself.

My great grandmother rode a covered wagon from New York to the mid-west to join her husband. She worked in the fields, had eleven children, smoke a pipe, and handled most of the money. Her husband worked hard at the ranch/farm/orchard, worked in a mill, and played with his children whenever he could.

Their daughter, my grandmother was in fact a suffragette, a bloomer girl who chained herself to the court house steps with other women to make a statement for the right of women to vote.

I worked for women's rights in the 1960's, 70's and even to some extent in the 80's. I ran for the State Assembly, was in law enforcement and as a single mom put myself through my Bachelors degree, grad school and worked at the same time. My children turned out well, educated, productive people who are also good parents. I have a son and two daughters whom I respect and admire.

My husband, second one, is a wonderful man who encourages my independence, stands next to me at all times, and I return the sentiment.

True feminists are not man haters, nor do they espouse disrespect for their male counterparts. There is mutual respect and understanding on an equal footing.

Most of the guys here support the original definition of feminism. Occasionally, but not often, you'll find one who opposes equality and promotes male superiority.

I don't think we should believe in our own superiority. That would be flagrant hypocrisy.

Since you believe that women have the right to feel superior to men because in the past men believed that they were superior to women, I assume you plan to waltz up to the first black family you see and offer to be their slave, right? I mean some whites had black slaves so I guess the only fair thing, by your logic, is to enforce the opposite. So when are planning on picking some cotton?

As for the main question women should have equal rights as men. No women shouldn't go back to the kitchen, especially now as most of them can't cook a lick.
