Sorry but unfortunately they won't be building anymore Six Flags in the near future they are in the works now to shut down all Six Flags in the U.S. Due to safety use in the violations and codes for the workers they hire to fix the rides. There are too many deaths each year that happen due to poor construction, maintenance on their rides. Six Flags Magic Mountain almost was shut down last year after Fright Fest but eased out of closure some how. I don't know! Six Flags is well known for being the most unsafe Park in the World today!

Who knows!
But in the short term, I'd have to say no. There's already two parks there in Minn, the one in MoA and Valleyfair, not too far from MSP.
Add to that the fact that not all current Six Flags are performing as well as anticipated and that spells contraction more than expansion.
Wsh I had better news for you. On the plus side, you can go to Cedar Point in OH, which isn't too far. Or if you want to drive somewhere closer, you've still got the Dells in Wisconsin or Six Flags in Gurnee, IL. Or to the south, you've still got Adventureland in Iowa.
Hope that helps!
