Edit: Yes Deep, you got it right, unfortunately I didn't know just how many wickets Glenn had taken when I ask the question! But we can hope for Brett's sake that he makes a good go of it.

Binga is 250+ right now, where as Mcgrath is 570 odd in test cricket. It will be a herculian effort , if Lee passes his record becuase the fast bowlers have less cricketing life due to extreme fatigue and degradation of body since Mcgrath was not firy pace and had very smooth action, he could last for more than 15 years. i doubt Lee can pass him unless Lee concentrates in furture on line and length and reduce his pace.

well i have always thought of posting the ditto same question but thank u for saving 5 points of mine

brett lee has minimum three years left n with the intruduction of t20 test matches r certainly gonna reduce, he shud play for 4-5 more healthy years of his swing n pace, then only he will manage 2 pass Glenn McGrath's Test wicket total

hope i understood the question well bingalee,
cheers!!!!!

I think McGrath will always hold that feat... & moreover Lee's had problems with injuries which the fast bowlers always have & thats why 3 of the top four wicket takers are spinners..

Lee has qualities of speed and accuracy but has to improve on discipline, Glenn has all of them, he was most disciplined bowler I have seen. He is known of bowling on off stump all day, not an easy task.

While brett lee has number of years of cricketing carreer, since he a injury prone bowler, he will not be able to continue for the same length of period as mc Grath and as such will not be able to overtake him.

Brett lee is a Gr8 bowler and can do wonders by his bowling and this is just one small thing for him and he will surely do this

its pretty difficult question to answer, however there are less chances of Lee to pass Mcgrath[s test wicket total due to his inconsistency in test cricket.......

Yes Bingalee,Lee will pass the feat just because he got the attitude, power and experience.Although he is a speedster but, should improve his tactics in the field.OK all the best to him anyways.
