Well, 1st free advice, if I felt that I needed to check the person that I was dating for criminal matters. I would not date that person any more. If you are getting serious, then yes, a financial matters discussion is in order. Otherwise that is really none of your business. I would say that unless you intend to marry the person, you don't need to pry into their financial business. Living together with out marriage, well, that is the wrong way to start a life.

Problem is that 9 times oput of ten the background check sites are innacurate. Plus they have no financial details.
Most times doing a background check will prove to be bad in the end.

It depends on what state you are in. Some states have websites where you can find that information, some don't.
