I am proud to have gotten off drugs all on my own.
NO meetings or stuff like that. I wasnt forced to give up drugs I decided to on my own. I knew it was wrong that I had a son to raise and he although he was young enough not to know what was going on I knew he would eventually and I was cheating him. I had been blessed by never being arrested and I worked and I held onto what I knew was right, I went to school, I kept a roof over our heads and all that good stuff but I was still an addict. It was by the grace of God that I didnt fall into the trap.
I did it cold turkey. I made a decision and stuck with it. It's hard and 2 years later I still get cravings but I DID IT and I will be stong and stay off !!!

In 1966, I was working my way through college as a musician. I happened to be the organist who played on stage in the New Orleans Sonny and Cher concert. I met Charly Rich (The Silver Fox) and actually had a nice chat with him. He was a true gentleman.

My daughter. She plays for Team Indiana Fastpitch Softball. Not too shabby, knowing your kid is one of the top 10 in the state!
She can hit'em outta the park!
