I think everyone is in the same boat.... we have limited wisdom and imagination which seems insufficient to address these root or absolute questions, even though such questions do arise in our minds all the while.
Most people get fully busy with daily chores and various activities and let such deeper questions simply lie at the bottom of the deep freezer.... isn't that a clever way to escape the anguish arising from the inability to find the answers? Alas no!..... the chicken comes home to roost later and at that stage such people rue over how they wasted their life in a mundane and ordinary manner rather than addressing the key questions. Even if the answers do seem beyond our reach, we have to continue to keep at them and who knows, a unique realization or reconciliation may well dawn on us at some stage... on the other hand, if we choose to escape them, they would certainly get back at us stronger at an unsuitable future time bringing along even greater misery for our mind.

I guess this a question many of ask ourselves from time to time, I posted a similar question a month back got some pathetic answers! Hope I can give you a helping hand.
Nothing makes sense when you break things down in to detail, yes, but does it have to?
In religion they have tried to answer that, best answer for me is Karma (Hinduism and Buddhism). But Karma as it is also breaks down, when you really try to analyze it.
Buddhism tells you that when you have complete understanding of all of this you attain Nirvana and in Hinduism the a similar state called Moksha. There are paths given in both religions to get there, I'm not convinced whether that's the path to take, for me if there was a simple answer to all of this then that answer it self should be simple, something that most people understand.
If you just want my opinion, as I understand things right now, there's nothing that controls life or the universe for that matter (nothing in the sense, there's no god like figure controlling everything or a concept like Karma controlling it).
Who are we to say that we're the only ones witnessing this, there might be millions of other entities witnessing this in millions of different ways.
So this beingness is an arbitrary occurance, that no one has control over, so it just flows.

Anything is not everything. If there is no sense in deep thought, don't go there. Each is what each is. If here is not good, move to a better location. Object permanence is the belief that things exist on their own, like you. The point of life is good. The point of anything is the concept for universality. The point of everything is the unknown something.

I sometimes wonder how we can think so deeply about something that we come back to the surface. That is what I see here with you asking those questions. I believe you overthought. You took a dive into the subconscious, hit your head on the bottom, and floated back to the top. You did not find the corral or the pearl, only got a headache from the whole process. I am in the same position alot as well, and I am tired of my head hurting.

This means you are a very intellignet perosn. But if you don't ask someone who knows and has seen, then you can be misled by others and your one mind and senses. In a nut shell- We are not this material body, IE; Race, color, nationality, Religion, mind, intellect, senses, job, etc. We are all eternal spirit souls, part and parcel of the Supreme Soul, also known as Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, etc. We never die, only this mortal body dies. This material world is not our real home, it is called Maya (illusion) and is temporary and full of misery, only one fourth of the souls come here, and the rest are enjoying blissful eternal loving relationships with our Maker named above. We fell here due to envying Gods position. He made the material world for those who want to try to live separately from Him (Which is impossible because He is actually everywhere). After many lifetimes of trying to be happy in this temporary world, one becomes frustrated and board and begins to question their existence. We then seek out real happiness, and when one becomes sincere God reveals how to come back Home. Those who are intelligent, take up the process of self realization (Bhakti Yoga), which begins with the chanting of the Maha Mantra, (the great mantra for deliverance from all suffering and illusion), which gives one real peace, happiness and reality. Then at the end of life, they can give up all material attachments and fully surrender to God and return to the eternal Kingdom, where there is no more birth, death, old age, or disease and be eternally happy. For info. Go to harekrishnatemple.com Read Bhagavad Gita- As it is by Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada asitis.com can be read on onle Wright me if you have more questions. I love talking abot higher truths with intelligent souls.

What is ANYTHING,
After dwelling on this subject for XXXX. I was sort of thinking;
ANYTHING, is anything you WANT IT TO BE.
We are, what and who we want to be.
We are Here, to do What we are Here for. What that is, Circumstances and Want will tell us.
Want is the Actual Point to Life. We work, we Study, we Lie, we Steal, Humanity will go to whatever ends it lfeels necessary to get what it wants. So we can say that, getting what we Want is the Actual Point of Life.
The point of anything, is anything you want it to be.

To quote my high school sociology teacher:
"Nothing is real. Nothing exists. It is only there because we say so."
And yes to ALL your questions.
