YES!! I had this conversation w/my hubby the other day. You can love someone but just not like them at the moment. You can be upset with them and not like them, but still know you love them and would die w/out them! My husband and I are very happily married and still there have been moments where we've been so upset with each other and disliked them but we've always loved each other! Take Care- Happy Holidays!

Yes, I have a very close family member that I love dearly but at times, I don't really like very much and I fear she feels the same about me. Sad but true.

Yes I love my ex wife, but I cannot stand to be with her. Same for her. The love is there but we are just not a good match together

NO - that is a contradiction in terms.

Unless you are thinking of physical "Love" (Intimate relationships) for the thrill of it as opposed to liking someone as a person, friend, companion.

having physical relations with a person has nothing to do with liking a person in an intellectual sense.

of course ,it happens all the time, and is not contradictory at all ,the opposite of love is complete indifference, liking someone or something is a different matter altogether ,as in (can we just be friends?)when in love with someone this is a deathblow to a the relationship.

It is so possible, you can love your son but you don't like his attitude and behavior. You affection to him would not change but you may not like him as a person.

You can also like somebody but not love him, you like the person in him but you don't have the feeling that ties and relates you to him.

YES
I love my ex dearly but would never consider getting back together. The hurt he put me through towards the end of our relationship could never be forgotten!

Wait until you have teenagers....After they take your car for a joyride and smash it up, you probably will have a very hard time getting in touch with your warm fuzzy feelings toward them.
