I got the GM 5 year/75,000 mile warranty added onto my car with 27000 miles. Does the warranty run out at 75000 miles, or when the car hits 102,000?

You really made the dealership happy. They make more money off of extended warranties than they do from the sale of a car. Why? Because they cost so much and are seldom used. The reliability of cars today just doesn't justify the cost of an extended warranty. When my daughter worked at a Jeep dealership she said the fastest way to get a salesman to answer a call was to tell him the person on the phone wanted to purchase an extended warranty. I wouldn't buy one except on a Jag or BMW. The cost of repairing them might justify it.
