quit my basketball team or not?

Question

im like mab a fourth through the season and last year i didnt really want to go out but i did and it was alright i hated practices and our coach this year i went out thinking it might be diff but it aint my coach still rides me and practices is gay its not that its hard but im not that much into basketball anymore i never want to do practice and im never exiceted for games and i always give 110% cuz thats who i am in anything i do but now i want to quit the team and go lift weights after school instead so i can get stronger for football and work on my swing for baseball which are my two main sports i only do basketball cuz its the only sport offerd besides wrestling i come home from basketball practices in bad moods all the time cuz i never like them they kinda put me in a depression state i guess you could say and i take it out on others and it only happend during basketball season so idk some input would be great

i dont have to try out for the team. my school is so small if you want to play you can. i really dont see it as a wus move either cuz its somthing i dont really like i mean i like to play basketball for fun and stuff but im not even exicted to play games

dude right now i'm going through the same thing you are, but the difference basketball is my favorite sport. i was thinking about quittng and stick to just playng for fun. then i remembered what one of my old coaches said during a really low point of the season when we ended up winning only two games. he compared us to past members who gave up after noticing our losing streak. before the game started he gave us his respect for never quitting despite rough times, and we ended up winning our final game. after practice i decided to tough out the season, and see where it gets me. because i have potential and i dont want to be known as a quitter. but this is just my story and my advice, i'm just trying to give you ideas to help you out. you absolutely do not have to copy me.

U can do whatever you want. But I don't think you should quit. That is just a waist of money. I play bball with the boys at my skewl, and b4, I didnt even know how to shoot. But now, a year later, Im a pro. Just so u know I will lay out the shots for you: When somebody shouts at you,"Thats Travel!" That means that you are holding the ball, without dribbling, and running. Thast is called travel. You must dribble. Also, A double dribble is when someone throws the ball to you, and and you catch it, you dribble, then you hesitate, while holding the ball, and then dribble again. If u start dribbling, and u hesitate, u must throw the ball to another player, or shoot. Either that or its a forfeit. If you dont feel that you are that good at shooting, then when you get the ball, pass it to a player that is great at shooting. That way, you are never under preasure. Chill, have fun with it! Don't quit. It's a wuss move. Quitting is weak. You finish what you start. You tried out, you made the team, now finish the season.

hey if its something that you love to do then do it.....dont let your coach get in the way......all he is trying to do is help you...i know how u feel i am on a basketball team to.....for high school...so just do what u do best and stay on the team!!!!
