I also looked forward to the matches, but I shudder to think of our precious boys being hurt over there.
Edit: to --att- (or whatever your name is) There is NO comparison between England & Pakistan. What a stupid comment. The English are a decent people, it's just a shame that terrorists chose to go there from other countries to do their dirty work.Australians have never been know as cowards, just look what they did for their fellow man in two world wars. It isn't part of our nature to be cowardly, whether soldier or sportsman.

I think that they need to wait another couple of months before making a decision. If they had to go in the next few weeks, I would definitely say no. But in a couple of months they may be able to restore normality to the country, in which case it would be fine to go.

For those that seem to be against the Aussies decision, just think, at this point the country has just had its opposition Leader assassinated, and there is civil war spreading throughout the country. It would naturally cause concern. Dont forget England had to call off a tour after the assassination of Indira Ghandi in 1984.

these people will lose money, if the series is boycott

PCB, ICC, televesion channel having broadcasting rights and the loss will be of the order of millions of dollars. Indians have so many times threats from Pak (JIhadees) , SL (LTTE) and then also they visit there. all sub continent teams visit based on the report of the team , which goes and analyses the security aspects.

i don't think , there will be repurcations from ICC since the situation is critical. but Roy and Punter shouldn't close the call without analsying the security analyst team report.

i don't think, the political and social intra unequilibrium in Pak will have anything to do with Aussie cricketers. The series is in March, still there is a lot of time and the options shouldn't be closed. situation might improve in Pak as there are elections on Jan , 08

take care, sweetie, star for god Q

What higher target for terrorists than the Australian cricket team if and when they visit, is it fair to these players to place them in such a situation, if the Pakistan government can't protect a politician how are they going to protect the cricket team, remember what happened a few years ago when NZ toured there.

If Australia are boycotting the tour of Pakistan, they have to pay huge sum as compensation to Pakistan.

If the Aussies are actually so CONCERNED, its is surprising that Aussies stayed over in England during those 7th July blasts and COMPLETED the series before going back. Hypocrites !

Definately a boycott is the way to go, just like when they didn't go to Zimbabwe, they need to put safety ahead of $$ that the PCB won't get... play in Sharjah or Dubai

I don't think thats a good solution, in the past when all teams had refused to play in Zimbabwe during political turmoil,Pakistan was the first country who visited Zimbabwe...........What I would like to say that Aussie should visit Pakistan and transfer series matches to more safer area.

Good decision, situation in Pakistan is serious, every cricket board has right to look safety for their players. Indian and Pakistan are known to these problems so for them it is ok to play in such condition.
