I do kill spiders like most people do but I have felt guilty at times. I know spiders are here on earth for a purpose. They don't wish us harm but they do look ominous and fearful and scare people which forces people to kill them. Actually, the last spider I saw around 4 days ago, I was going to kill it and then I decided to let it live. I walked away and figured it would just go away. The next day I saw it again around the same area. This time I had a good feeling for the spider probably since it did leave me alone by not crawling everywhere making a nuisance or drawing my attention every few minutes. It was a small spider too. I even said 'hi' to the spider and the next day it was gone. It probably found it's way outside and the fact I didn't have to kill it was good. Had it been a large or menacing spider, I probably would have killed it just out of fear as that's the reaction of most people. Daddy long legged spiders are very interesting to watch. Years ago, as a child there was a daddy long legged spider near my lamp in my bedroom. I told my mother and she also was fascinated with watching this spider. We decided to leave it alone and it made a home near my bedroom lamp. I would talk to the daddy long legged spider everynight for a few weeks and I felt we became friends because I could poke a pencil by his nest and he was friendly towards me. Then one day he died and I was sorry he was gone. That was the only time I ever became a friend of a spider. Boy, did he have long legs and usually stayed home in his small nest so I always knew where I could find him. Sounds kinda crazy but that is how it happened. As an adult, I don't usually make friends with spiders and perfer they stay outdoors where they belong.

If you have a spider in your home that would mean that you have other bugs that it is catching and eating. If the spider is not poisonous then you don't have to kill it.

I just found a spider egg sack (dormant) that my daughter will get to take in to her classroom for show and tell.

I do not feel guilty about killing bugs or insects that are in my home but if I can't catch a spider it is not the end of the world.

i think too in charge so i do no longer kill them anymore! I as quickly as stamped on an egg sac cos it grow to be close to my front door, and that i had visions of each and every of the toddler spiders invading my domicile! yet I felt detrimental for doing it! i can not kill the great spiders extra for the very undeniable fact that they could make a large number and that would make me sense ill! So I purely throw them outdoors and need they bypass in somebody else's domicile, no longer mine!

Yes I do, usually I try to chase any bugs outside, except flys, (they get killed), sometimes in the summer I get a few spiders in here, so I get them on my fly swatter, walk as fast as I can to the door, then set them free. Oh yeah,...except for black widows, they get killed too.

Never.

As a kid I use to kick open ant hives and then spray bug spray on them.

I am the successful killer of thousands upon thousands of ants in my youth.

I would never kill a grasshopper or a butterfly anymore though. They are pretty.

I try to steer them outside or to the garage...I live among many lakes and also have cute baby frogs that cling to screen on patio; and once in a while , one slips in. I try to return it to outside...!!!
