Well, if you twiddled with the color balance,
that should not be too hard to fix. See if your monitor has separate red/blue/green adjustments. You need more red and gren, and less blue.

Monitor cables usually do not detach at the monitor end. The video cable should be firmly fastened at the computer end. If it does not fit properly, unscrew the thumbscrews and examine the end of the cable for bent pins. If you find any, they can usually be straightened, but you must be very careful, you don't want to break them off. If you have damaged the cable, the monitor is toast.

If nothing else works, try and borrow a monitor from a good friend, and see if it also shows all blue. You could possibly have a problem with your video card.

You probably hit the video cable, loosening it a bit from the back of your computer. Check all the cables in the back. Without pulling them out, make sure that they are securely connected.

The BSOD is an error message that will appear on your screen, but that also means you would not be able to type or do anything on your computer (while that BSOD is on-screen). It really sounds to me like it's just a cable connection problem.

If you are typing on another computer, and it is a BSOD, then record the Stop Error number onto paper. Techs will use that information to isolate the problem, then apply a solution.
