what thing,item,whatever it is in the xbox that causes the rrod i want to replace it with a new one i have no warrenty so i cant send it back so what part is it? i want the name of it thanks

The problem with the Xbox 360's cannot be fixed at this time. Even after you send in the Xbox 360 for repairs, Microsoft either sends you a brand new one, they fix the console that you have sent in, your they send you a refurbished 360.
I've heard people that have said that they sent in the Xbox 360 for repairs and a few days later it got the Red Ring of Death again. So basically, you'll just have to "live in fear" and just hope that the 360 doesn't die and if it does you'll just have to keep on sending it in. Or you could just solve the problem forever by just getting a PS3 and you'll never have to worry about hardware failure.

microsoft has a extended warranty on all xbox's purchased within the past 3 years so if you bought it within that time frame your covered for any probs concerning rrod

It's just caused from your xbox over heating.
