Hard question to answer. Each of those great qb's.. Elway,, Montana,, Young,,, Bradshaw,, Marino,,Farve,, Stabauch,, Unitas,,,etc.. Played in different times against different teams. They all accomplished great stats in their playing days. Starting from the earliest of all those qb's,, Each upcoming star had someone to look back at take on a new concept of the qb position. As it progressed they got better. It's not right to compare a Johnny Unitas to a Bret Farve or Tom Brady or Peyton Manning of todays football. Football changes as time goes by. They were each and everyone great as to the time and era they played in. And, no one can take that away from them.

You could make a case for several QB's throughout time.
Dan Marino, Brett Favre, Joe Montana, John Elway...all of those guys have legitimate cases for being the best of all time. But IMO, as of right now, its Joe Montana. And im a Cowboys fan, but the guy was simply amazing. He doesnt have all the stats that maybe Favre and Marino has but the SB rings and the whole aura of being Joe "Cool" Montana and the SB stories, the comebacks under pressure, he was the man.
