sorry...ur all wrong.

i'm in ap math and the point is to PROVE the answer and there are actually two groups of answers with a total of 15 answers which can be rotated for x, y, and z each

ps. sorry it was my fault i forgot to mention u hav to find the equation to prove the answer of each variable. my dad explained it to me and i appreaciate the effort but i can't exactly chose one person so i'll just choose the person that shows the most effort.

This is one equation with three unknowns. you can pick any value for two of the variables, and then calculate the last variable.

You can play around with this to get whole numbers if you want. You have a solution that is a surface.

Ok, first we need to take the numerator and see how many possible ways you can add to get to 5 with three positive numbers:

5 = 1 + 2 + 2
5 = 1 + 1 + 3

Ok, now all we do is assume that x, y, and z equal 6 for the time being and put them under each number of the above equations:

5/6 = 1/6 + 2/6 + 2/6

This is a true statement, but the last two fractions can be simplified:

5/6 = 1/6 + 1/3 + 1/3

x= 6
y = 3
z = 3

Now for the second one:

5/6 = 1/6 + 1/6 + 3/6

5/6 = 1/6 + 1/6 + 1/2

x = 6
y = 6
z = 2

And that's how you do it.
