Who ever said that is an uneducated idiot!! Of course the Constitution is relevant, the Constitution is by far the most important document to the American people!! It is law, the highest law in the land. If whoever said that feels its not relevant why don't he/she go to a country with no Constitution and see how they like it over there, with no rights!! The U.S. is the greatest country in the whole world, you may not realize it because we take it for granted, but you realize soon how much you miss it when you go abroad for vacation.

The constitution is the greatest document ever written next to the Bible. It is an essential part of our culture and is the basis for all laws. Individuals who think the constitution is irrelevant, obviously know little about our founding fathers.

The constitution should ALWAYS be relevant in my opinion. Something I notice about the constitution is that people tend to defend certain parts of it while ignoring others, whatever happend to making the entire Constitution relevant?

If the Constitution is deficient, amend it -- by securing the support of We the People.
Don't subvert it behind the closed doors of the Executive branch. You took an OATH to uphold the Constitution, Mr. President. That is supposed to mean something: duty, and law.
If you choose to act outside the Constitution, you are simply an outlaw, because the Constitution is the law of our Government. Whether brought to justice or not, an outlaw remains an outlaw.

Yeah--Cheney and bush have been saying that for years. People who don't share American beliefs in the imprortance of liberty and jsutice usually try to show how "cool" they are by ridiculing the Constitution or claiming it isn't relevant.
May I suggest that whoever this is put their money wher their mouth is by renouncing their American citizenship (since they theink it isnt relevant) and move someplace that doesn't have such "irrelevat" documents to woory about? Like China, N. Korea, Iran, pakistan, Guatemala, Burma (Myamar), etc.
I'm sure they'll find they're much happier without the protection of their life and liberty of that "irrelevant" Constitution.

I'd ask them to present facts and evidence as opposed to hot air.
They usually can not name a single incident to support their claims of any loss of constitutional freedoms.
At that point they usually resort to name calling.

The Constitution is only irrelevant to those who do not like what it allows people they do not like to say and do.

This is just one of the many impeachable offenses commited by Bush. I just love hearing some mis-guided right winger trying to blame all of Bush's failings on Bill Clinton (like saying that our current problem with OBL is the result of Clinton's not getting him. Allright then Bush lovers - let's see your beloved shrub swat that fly). 50 yrs from now they will still blame him.

"You can say some of the pieces of the Constitution aren't fully relevent, but saying this is taking it too far. So many people still use the Constitution to support their values and ideas. Whether they interpret it correctly is up for grabs, but the Constitution is still in action, and will remain so for a long time, hopefully."
