I recently became interested in crafting, fashion designing, and any type of art that I use my hand to create as some sort of extra-curricular activity. I am also interested in finding out how to put everything online for people to use their credit cards and buy my Art anywhere in the world and I ship to them. How do I open an online store though?

Your ideas and interests are great. There are many people with the same interests that are beginning their venture into building an online business too. There are a lot of free ways to build a business online and sell your items. I would suggest that you take a somewhat different approach that will set you ahead of the others and bring more traffic to your business. A great way to do this would be to create a website that is centered around your interests and adds value to those who visit. Firstly, make some of your products and then list them on ebay. It is good to start on ebay due to how it is a short term commitnment. If you enjoy it, then you can open a ebay bussiness or continue to your own site. A online website is a binding contract, and if you do not want to continue, you must finish paying the fees.

You might start by getting a free website from geocities and attempt to sell from there, then maybe in the future move on to a website for which you have to pay.

First get your domain name, for your own website, I recommend through Yahoo. It is fairly inexpensive and trustworthy company , then interlink your website and products. The team will help you to answer your question. I'm starting this way. Try it.

I see people having their little business on ebay. Then they put a link to their website on it. Spruz.com is a pretty good free web starter.

it's cheaper to go ebay first.......because to set up a secured website that accepts and protects credit/debit cards identities is not cheap. You practically have to own your own web server
