i have two friends i can talk to. one is unbelievably sympathetic and logical and helpful, and the other just gets it and knows how she wants to live her life and what's right and wrong.

Talk to a best friend or better yet a close family member. Note the words "friend" and "close. Someone who doesn't consider themselves a friend might take the information that you tell them and run with it. If you don't really want to talk to anyone that you know personally try a chat line or the internet. There's always someone willing to lend an ear.
