Yes, most companies and the government agencies check information on your resume. It is usually just whether you graduated/attended or not, not your GPA unless that is specifically identified in the application process.

It is more common now a days. There is a hugh data base to check on your education. They will check, especially if it requires certification.

Yes, most companies that I have applied for require a copy of your transcript at the point where you apply for a job. Some companies would even ask for a photocopy of your diploma.

I definitely wouldn't lie about education. I would be very accurate as they can (and often will be checked) very easily. Many jobs will require you to submit your transcripts.

If education is important to the job, they will ask for transcripts or other proof of a degree.

Depends on what kind of job it is....if your applying for an entry level job then no....anything higher then entry level its most likely probably possible
