friend of mine hooked up with a guy she hasn't seen since highschool..they e-mailed and im'ed alot..but did not actually see one another in 10 years..he came to her town one week and called her up. They got together and he seemed interested at first..they hung out all night..he made advances towards her..when they finally messed around he came a little quick..then right after that he turned completely cold on her and acted like he wanted her to leave..she said he told him she was going home (after she was supposed to stay all night) and she said he almost lunged towards the door to let her out...the next day he didn't return her calls and has now gone home..they were good friends so she is confused..what advice can I give her? Is it him? Was he embarrased, or do you think he lost respect for her after sex? Do you think he will come around and e-mail her again? What should she do? She really cares about him as a friend and doesn't want to lose that...

Relationships with emails and ims are a lot different than in person....I don't know if the guys get scared of life in person and feel more that email and im is as real as they can get...

...I think many people can't handle life and run away....some guys I know are afraid of getting close, afraid of not being perfect and they make it really hard to be their friend or be close with them...

All your friend can do is be open with the guy and if the guy is not going to talk with her....she will just have to find other guys to be friends with....

He sounds pretty immature. If she wants to keep him as a friend, she needs to let him know that that's as far as it will go and also to tell him how he made her feel after he got what he wanted.

yea maybe she shouldna had sex with the guy after jus meeting him, even tho they've "known" each other for more than 10 yrs, the actual meeting up part may have been a lil awkward, and they shouldna had sex so soon.

I'm betting he's embarrassed and probably feels weird since they've spent all this time building their friendship. I would give it a few days and then call.

Not much of a friend if she can't come out and just ask him.
