Hey salaam: Happy New Year.
I think Misbah Ul Haq shall be the captain for the Pakistani cricketers bc, of his batting abilty, his character, his pride, his bravery, his actions, his great performance VS India since 20-20 to recently Test matches.
edit.& also i think Shahid Afridi shall be vice captain for Pakistan bc, he has not just the talent but, the Pakistani talent to manage & to take pressure for a Pakistani win.
Pakistan my second favorite Cricket team.

However, what has Mohammad Yosuf done?
Ok, he scored a century VS India but, if his consider a "
World Class Player then, he should score more runs & be like Misbah Ul Haq did VS Indian bowlers....
Overall: Misbah Ul Haq has the experience bc, his age 33 & been hiding behing the PCB for many years thats why, i strongly feel Misbah Ul Haq deserves for the future captaincy of Pakistan.
He has nothing to lose except use his determine righteous views as a captain for Pakistan.

No i disagree with furiosos's comment, the captain ship should be given to an experienced senior player.
it should be given to Mohammed Yousuf or either Younis Khan...
Ofcourse Misbah ul Haq is one of the best cool batsman today, especially a batsman who can play under pressure, he is the wall for the current pakistan team, so if the team management puts lots of weight or pressure on to him he definitely wont be able to play his game well, he will get confused by handling the whole team at tougher situations, he has all capabilities of being a captain, but he needs some time to take over the leadership, just because he bats well they cannot give him the captainship, they should try with the senior & experienced players like Mohammed Yousuf or Younus Khan, they are very well experienced and they have faced all the teams around the world in their entire career of cricket, so they know how to deal with anyone easily.

Misbah is indeed a good batsman and also has the capability of being a captain, but i feel that this is not the right time for him to take over the post.
1- See, so far Misbah have played just only 32 matches 'total' against every team, he lack lot of experience being a captain.
2- He needs to study & face every 'oppositions' first, before he deal with them as a captain.
3- If he becomes a captain right now, then he wont be able to concentrate on his batting & fielding, or to even study the oppositions.
So what i mean is, experience & the way of thnking is the most important fact for a player to be a captain of the team, not the way how he performs.

Actually it does not matter, who ever becomes captain, other players in team will pull him down soon. None of the players mentioned below have strong personalities as Imran or Wasim to lead team.
1. Misbah Ul Haq
2. Mohammad Yosuf
3. Yunis khan

Yunis khan should be the test captain, hand down. I think we have to give malik a few more chances and thn see where he stands.

i love cricket. it's my favorite sport but it's the last thing i am worrying about right now. the stuff that is going on in pakistan is horrible. i hope it cleans up and everything goes back to normal. it should be mohamamd yousaf in odi because he is a senior player. he is a slow intelligent player. and he knows how to make a team win and he knows how to play at which times
