Love it! I think different names are the best, especially when they start school and there are a ton of the same name children in their class. Go for it!!

I love the name Talon! No, it's not boyish at all. My nephew is named Mackenzie, (we all call him Mac, though) So I really don't think it matters. And just for the record, when I was at a Dr appt. once, a woman came in and said her name was Liberty! That's a really cool name, too!

Mackenzie is fine.

"talon" sounds a bit too much like the the claws of a hawk or eagle. I would be afraid she'd get teased about that.

NO I think that it is cute. I have never heard of Talon for a name before. UNIQUE. I just had a daughter and her name is Rileigh Hope. My husaband's grandparents thought we had another boy till we showed up and she was dressed in pink!

I think it is a bit boyish, many add an extra "y" at the end of n.

sounds fine to me. i think people make too big of deal in US about names being too odd.

name is given by parents/guardians. your daughter wont think its boyish if you enforce acceptance of all and anything different.

besides who cares what other people think?! she's your DAUGHTER! i dont mean to yell, just emphasize.
