Personally I prefer the hospital gowns so I don't have to worry about getting blood on my own.
I was also easier for the nurses to check on me with the gown on.
I wore a second gown backwards as a house coat.
Worked for me!
But I think it is all personal preference.

I had a c-section and plan to have another one in March. Defiately pack your own. You will feel more comfortable when people come to visit you in the hospital. Do gowns, not sleep pants. The elastic bugs when you just had surgery, even if you have it natural, gown are more comfortable. Get gowns that button or snap at least half way down so you can breast feed. I packed three and it worked out perfectly. Hope I helped best of luck!

I brought my own. I breastfed so I have the gowns made for that. I hate the hospital gowns. I have three boys and never had a problem with staining g my clothes while in the hospital. Its really up to you! I would def. pack some of your own things. That way you have them if you want them! It's better to be safe then sorry! Good Luck!

I'm going to wear the hospital gown during delivery then my own pajamas after I get all cleaned up. I think you should pack a couple just in case...it won't hurt.
Congrats & Good Luck

I stayed in the hospital gown for maybe 3-4 hours after baby was born, then switched into my own. You feel so much better once you have a nice shower and get into your own comfy pj's!!!

I suggest bringing your own. I used my t-shirt nightgowns during my hospital stay. They were comfortable and I didn't have to worry about flashing people every time I got up. I also brought a pj set to wear home. That way I could go from the hospital, to the car, and then straight to bed once I got home.

I brought my own pjs but only ended up using the tops I stole from daddy. I was scared Id get blood on my pants and ruin them. Also if I had pants on then every couple of hours when the nurses came in to check me it would have been hell getting them on and off. My suggestion is to pack them though. You may feel up to getting up and want to make sure your covered to walk around.

If ou're planning on breastfeeding bring a nursing gown. Wear the hospital gowns for labor and delivery and change into your own after the baby is born. Deliveries are quite messy and you don't want to have to clean your pajamas during your stay.

its only natural you want to pack your own items including pjs..they wont be of any interest though till about a day or 2 later after your birth..once you feel good and are allowed to take a shower then put them on--they will make you feel cozy..bring 2 especially when the visitors start coming too you will want to look pretty, your a new mom..good luck..

I really liked the hospital gown for at night when I was sleeping,
But durring the day I used my own nursing gown, with hospital sleep pants made me feel better.
Good luck.

I had my own with me, but I wore the hospital gowns for the 1st day b/c of the bleeding and nurses coming in to check things and everything.
I had to go to the NICU to see my youngest, and I was glad to wear my own pajamas when walking (or being pushed in a wheel chair)through the halls and past people.
good luck and congrats!
