I was thinking, if USA and NATO do the following:

Publicly announce that if both Pakistan and India don't give up nuclear weapons and their military nuclear program right away, they would be invaded. Both these countries do not deserve to have nuclear weapons because only the governments of these nations are bent on killing innocent people across the border.

People of Pakistan and India don't have anything against eachother. Each loves their own nation and are eager to trade with eachother and live in peace.

Kashmir doesn't mean anything to average Pakistani or Indian. The issue to Kashmir is quite easy. Hold a transparent referendum. This will satisfy both India and Pakistan.

Both these countries' defences should be limited and capped. Both these countries should be forced to distribute wealth among poverty stricken population effectively.

Finally, both countries forces should be reorganized forcefully to counter internal and external terrorism and narcotics.

It is unfortunate that you are expecting USA and NATO to dictate all these to internal matters of India and Pakistan.

I would appreciate if people of India and pakistan dictates to the respective government or authorities.

I appreciate your real intention, ie. peace between both the countries.

You cannot make empty threats that you cannot carry out. Do you seriously think US can and wants to invade both country? Its bad enough they had thousands of soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. US is going to isolate themself from the entire world if they do something like that. Look at president's Bush image back home, after the war in Iraq and Afghan. The last thing the next president would want to do is starting another un-necessary war.

And do you think NATO nations would want to get dragged into such a war? I don't think so.

It would be good if every single nation in the world abolish nuclear weapon. But that will never happens.

Indis is the biggest problem in the solution of Kashmir problem, it could have been solved if India implemented the UN resolution 55 years back, but they kicked it, I can't say about India but common Pakistani does care about Kashmir who told u that Pakistanis does not?

If World play its part in resolving Kashmir dispute then one nuclear flashpoint will be gone forever.
