okay im writing a story that includes a female decedent of Dracula, and I need a surname for her. Her first name is Ariel and I don't want it to be something obvious like "Ariel Dracula". I've been doing some research and I found a family tree of Dracula's, and one of his decedents took the last name "Tsepeth". Does Ariel Tsepeth sound stupid? Or does anyone else know what her last name should be? Thanks.

The name was TEPES , pronounced Tepesh, the character Dracula was based on was a Romanian Knight called Vlad Tepes who united Romainians to drive out the Turks.

He did live in transylvania and he did murder his enemies by impaling them on long poles and spikes , hence his name Vlad the Impaler.

he is a Romanian hero still today and they celebrate a special day for him.

Some very common real Romanian surnames that i like are:

Antonescu (Arial Antonescu has a nice ring ).

Dragomir (Ariel Dragomir has a touch of dracul about it ( dracul means Dragon)

Lacusta (Ariel Lacusta )

and finally Vladamirescu ........that one says it all.

Hope you aren't offended but Tsepeth is one of those Hungarian names which sounds like a description of someone with a bad lisp. As Drac was a tough guy in real life, I imagine his female descendant, even if beautiful and romantic, would be a no-nonsense girl so she may have a robust surname which sounds central-Europeanish. A few suggestions Balthazar. Nysvarth. Aschelme. Rulanyis. Menander. Dashkovari.
Just play around with syllables & words until you get a 'fit' for your story.

I would play with variatons that can lead to discovery. Vladman, based on Vlad the impailer, the real Dracula. Another might be Ariel Acula, or just Cula.

Check it out as I believe you're on the right track. I think it's something like Tepes (maybe with a 'z' in there somewhere).
There's always Mayfair - from the novels. (Vampire Chronicles)
