Absolutely! There is a lot of fun stuff at thrift stores. Aside from great costume stuff I've found a small children's sewing machine for my son, a turn table so I can listen to all my vinyl records, and tons of wooden toys for my mom's toy collection.

Thrift shopping is actually quite exhausting however someone can really find original and unique pieces from a thrift store. Don't make anyone make you feel bad about wearing vintage clothing at least you won't look like a carbon copy of someone shopping at H&M or Forever21.

Yes, plenty of times -- from clothing to furniture to books and on and on...I even brought my stuff to a consignment shop where I bought and sold stuff. I even sold stuff I had bought at the consignment shop after I got tired of it and pretty much got my money back! I think it's a blast to 'recycle' that way! It can be lots of fun to browse the thrift shops to look for treasure. The only problem is that now that there are all the t.v. shows about re-doing homes and valuable antiques and stuff, it's harder to find really good 'junk' at the flea markets and thrift and consignment shops. Just your asking this question has me smiling -- it's been a while since I've gone on a rummaging trip! It's time!!!

I bought earrings before, but I can't stand the old smell of a thrift store and the thought of people I never knew wearing those clothes.

My very first apartment was furnished through thrift stores and resale shops.
I've bought lots of great stuff at really low prices.
Sometimes you can find things with the original store tags still on them.
I still go to those places once in a while.

I've bought tons of really great stuff at thrift stores. You have to look carefully sometimes to find the stuff that looks good. There are some great things that you can't find anywhere else, very unique and original stuff sometimes.

When I was like 9 my friends mom took us to Chili's then to a thrift store and told us we could each get something. I picked out these huge doggy slippers. I still have them 9 years later. :]
