First off, at 17, no you can't. You wouldn't be allowed to ride it if someone else leased it either. In general, depending on where you live, yes, you can lease one.

I am not aware of any motorcycle manufactures that lease motorcycle's ( like an automotive lease)
Rental- there are a few.
As stated you ( at 17) would not be able to rent due to being a minor. As far as riding experience, yes you have some, but you only have 1 year of road experience. It's a major difference out on the street. Good luck to you.

It's generally not possible to lease a sport bike anyway; they have a high enough rate of getting wrecked that few leasing companies want to chance it. At 17, I definitely wouldn't recommend it even if you are a safe rider, for the simple reason that it's not a good idea to start accumulating debt at your age. You shouldn't use debt except for things you absolutely must have and cannot pay cash for - a house when the time comes, sometimes dependable transportation if you find yourself in a real bind, but not a sport bike unless you're planning to use it as your sole means of transportation.

It is actually "illegal" in most if not all states to enter into a contract with a minor which is what a lease is. If your parents would co-sign for you that would be another thing. But at the same time, I don't believe there are leasing programs for motorcycles. At least I've never heard of any.

It's one thing to lease a non-sporting Harley cruiser to an adult with financial resources but something totally different to lease a hot sprotbike to a kid brimming with testosterone. They might as well take the bike directly to a crusher because that's where it would end up after leasing it.
Riding experience means very little because kids (and yes you are one) seldom use common sense. Hey, I used to be one!

I would imagine the min. age for renting (if not 21) is 18, though i've never rented a bike.

No. At 17 years old you are not a legal adult, and can't enter into any legal contract.
