Miss T, sometimes friends really are having problems of their own and it makes it hard for both. Other times, maybe it is a case of a friend not realizing how important something is. Some people are not as sensitive as they could be.
I had a friend who couldn't be there for me because she was very sick. I knew she wouldn't just ignore me for no good reason and waited to hear from her.
OTL , I have not forgotten you and am sorry you feel that way.

Miss T : I was busy today with my ailing father and had to be out a couple of hours but I am here for you now if you like to talk and consider me your friend . I am a good listener and would hold anything you say to me under strict confidence. I understand that may be you need new friends but I would hope you would honor me in being one of these new friends if you like.

No. They might be having issues as well. Or they are just busy. Make new friends, but ditch the old ones. Like that freaking Girl Scout saying. lol

Sometimes it means that the people you are turning ot are having their own problems as well. You shouldn't take it personally everybody has problems and maybe at times we as individuals get so wrapped in our own problems that we don't see that others are having problems as well. If this is being aimed at me in any way then I apologize.

If they're consistently absent when you need them and ignore you when you need help, then they're not your friends.
I mean, I know nobody can be around 24/7, and everyone has their own problems to deal with, but it's not that hard to help someone else out when they're feeling blue.

Yes, you should definitely look for a new support group if you cannot count on those friends to help you when you need it. Or, maybe it is because they hear it so often.
