If you are going to pay, pay for something decent....there are many good ones in the market, I have tried them all and can confirm about F-secure, NOD32, PC-Cillin, and BitDefender......I also have heared good things about Kaspersky as it's the only antivirus that has a detection rate of 99.6% of viruses.....BitDefender come in the second place, F-secure come in third place.

Some of those programs may take a huge system resources, if you don't care about this point then go for BitDefender or Kaspersky....but if you concern about system resources go for NOD32 or Pc-cillin....They have both a detection rate of 95% and has been marked as top ten rated antivirus software.

I was glad that my subscription of Norton was through. Norton can really slow your computer's startup!

Norton received great reviews from PC Magazine. I think they also got editors' choice.

I would buy the triple protection suite from Zone Labs. consumer reports says its antivirus componets were excellent and its antispyware was very good. its says it's about $50. (get it at www.zonealarm.com)
