Maybe see if you can download the driver again? If not, contact the manufacturer or look on their website.

good luck,

I doubt that it is the USB itself, especially if other devices work fine if plugged into a USB port. It is a software issue that needs to be resolved. Contact the company that made the device for help. You could open the drive up and see if it can be directly installed into the computer. That is the way most of these out board devices are made. It is actually a drive made to be mounted in a computer, but has the extra parts needed to support it outside of the computer. If it can be easily removed and put in a drive bay in the computer, try it and see if it works in that configuration. That would give you a starting point to find out just what is wrong, which, again, I suspect is a software issue and nothing else.

1. Uninstall in device manager
2. Turn off pc
3. Turn on pc
4. plug dvd burner into a different usb port
Should work
If not, then check the manufacturer's website for new drivers.
