What do you guys think of ESLR?

Should I buy this stock even though it goes up to 18 bucks?
I think it will do very well in the future!!

Analysts are looking for sharply higher revenues next year and EPS of -0.08 compared to -0.25 this year; it may have a future, but there is so much competition in the sector and many of its competitors have much deeper pockets.

I personally would avoid it, but if you like it, I'd buy 1/2 a position, and see where it goes, if favorable, then buy the remainder shares to fill your position. Good luck in 2008.

It certainly seems to be trending well. I did several averages overlays to the chart and anyway you slice it, the trend is higher. (http://investing.businessweek.com/research/stocks/charts/charts.asp?symbol=ESLR.O)
If China is serious, and I think they are, then since Evergreen Solar is one of the major solar energy players, then they might benefit highly. China is embarrassed beyond words about the horrible air pollution that their coal plants are causing which will make the summer Olympics less than the pristine showcase they intended.

An idea for you, I know of some major technology players in power plant exhaust scrubbers, but unless I could see that they have contacts and garnered interest from the bigshots in Beijing, it won't help to hold their stock. If you hear of someone like Consol Energy (CNX) setting up shop in China, buy with both hands. That is technology that can make an immediate positive impact in months, not the years or decades needed for your company to accomplish the same with bunches more money required.
